1. Close the Opportunity Gap for Underrepresented Talent

The numbers speak for themselves: the entertainment industry is far behind on equity, access, and equal opportunity. Only a small fraction of big-budget filmmakers, cast and crew are of color, women, or LGBTQ+. Each year, due to systemic underrepresented from C-suites to film sets, Hollywood loses $10B from Black inequity alone - not to mention countless lost opportunities for underrepresented storytellers. Over and over again, we’ve seen promises made to change course, but severe underrepresentation persists.

In Hollywood, we must take systemic action to intentionally dismantle white supremacy, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and other forms of oppression - and we will.

2. Spotlight, Mentor and Fund Underrepresented Talent

Through our digital-first film festival, podcast, and social impact streaming platform, we’ve seen a clear gap in support for underrepresented filmmakers, cast and crew. Those who are historically excluded from internships, apprenticeships and other career-boosting programs in Hollywood - including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ creators - need support to build the credits, relationships and experience that will help them succeed.

That’s why we believe closing the opportunity gap in Hollywood begins with providing meaningful career opportunities for underrepresented, creative talent - and creating a supportive community that nurtures new voices.

3. Connect Inclusive Stories with Impact

At a time when numerous causes demand our urgent attention and action - from systemic racism to public health to environmental justice - we believe that we must intentionally connect storytelling with impact. That means amplifying the voices of underrepresented storytellers and connecting them with new opportunities, raising funds and driving charitable action for related causes, and building advocacy tools around social impact films globally.
